The monkeys have landed and we could not stand these welcoming and funny monkeys which are sewn by women in Sri Lanka.

In Sri Lanka, it is normal for women to stop working when they have children. As a result, the financial situation of families is very challenging. The Fairtrade factory helps to shape a better and brighter future for female employees.

The factory has hired a driver who drives out with materials for the women, enabling the women to perform work from their own home while being able to complete their domestic duties.

In addition to the female employees, the Fairtrade factory also has employees with physical and mental disabilities. Thus, they all have the opportunity to earn their own money and face a brighter future.

The monkeys are sewn by hand and on small sewing machines. There are no small parts. Each monkey is unique and has been through the hands of several seamstresses before all the details are complete.
